OUR LABORATORIES

Biology Lab

In the Biology Lab, students study the complexities of living organisms, from the microscopic world of cells to the functioning of various body systems. The lab sessions involve hands-on learning, including observing specimens under microscopes and performing experiments to understand biological processes. Students are required to handle microscopes and other biological tools carefully and follow all safety instructions. Any dissections or live experiments must be conducted with utmost respect for living organisms. After each experiment, students must clean their workstations and sanitize the equipment. Care should be taken when handling specimens, and all biological waste should be disposed of properly.

Chemistry Lab

The Chemistry Lab is an essential part of the curriculum where students can perform experiments related to chemical reactions, bonding, and properties of substances. It gives students the opportunity to apply theoretical concepts to practical situations. In the Chemistry Lab, safety is the top priority. Students must wear safety goggles, aprons, and gloves while handling chemicals and equipment. Students must strictly follow the instructions given by the teacher to prevent any accidents or misuse of chemicals. The lab should always be left tidy, and all apparatus should be returned to its proper place. Any damage or spillage must be reported to the teacher immediately.

Computer Lab

The Computer Lab is a space where students develop essential skills in computing, from learning programming languages to using various software applications. The lab helps students enhance their digital literacy, making them proficient in using technology for academic and personal growth. Students must wear the school uniform and maintain proper behavior while in the lab. They are expected to use the internet and software applications solely for educational purposes. Any unauthorized downloading or access to inappropriate websites is prohibited. Students should ensure their workstations are clean before leaving, and no personal files should be saved on the computers. Any technical issues must be reported to the teacher immediately.

Composite Lab

The Composite Lab is a multi-disciplinary lab where students integrate concepts from different science subjects—Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. It is a space for project-based learning, where students apply knowledge from various fields to solve real-world problems. Students must work collaboratively but should always prioritize safety when handling different tools and materials. They must follow instructions provided by the teacher, especially when conducting experiments or using equipment. The Composite Lab encourages innovative thinking and teamwork, so students should respect each other’s work and contribute actively to group tasks. As with all labs, cleanliness and organization are essential, and all equipment must be returned to its proper place after use.

Mathematics Lab

The Maths Lab at SPS Global School is designed to help students understand and explore mathematical concepts through hands-on activities and practical exercises. It provides a space where students can visualize and experiment with various mathematical principles, from geometry to algebra, enhancing their problem-solving skills. Students must bring necessary stationery, and all equipment should be handled with care. The lab sessions will follow the scheduled timetable, and students should be punctual. All activities must be conducted under the supervision of the teacher, and students are expected to maintain discipline throughout the session.
